When cleaning out the attic in Melody's house, Sudsey discovered a bunched up paper. She smuggled it out of the house and sat under her cake tree to give it a look over. Disappointed that it was not a love letter between Melody and some unknown toon, she did discover this handy guide to reporting CCG runs.
So without further ado, here it is, everything you ever wanted to know and were afraid to ask about reporting a run.
I have seen quite a few comments/questions about reporting runs, so decided a handy dandy guild might be in order. If I forgot anything or you have a nifty tip, be sure to respond
1. Where to report
As a general rule runs are reported in two places - at the official
CCG website and in the Daily Battle Report thread here at TTC.
2. What to report
You can report anything from a bare bones account - 8 loaded, 8 danced, we got a SOS card to a detailed blow by blow account of the fight (see Alvin's reports

)
Usually these things are reported -
- Toons Loaded/Toons Danced
- Reward Received
- Toons Who Boarded; their laff; their suit; if they danced, disco'd or went sad
3. How to Report
Oh sure Mel you say, it's easy to say all those things should be recorded, but HOW are you suppose to get the info and not kill everyone on your side of the cog fight. So here is the McBubble family secret to run reporting - F9!
Screenshots are your friends! But when you ask should these screenshots be taken ... here are the times I take my pictures (make sure you are smiling
)- Elevator just before the door shuts (Suits of those in front)
- Elevator from the rear as we take our ride (Suits of those in rear)
- Shot of my side selecting gags (Our Laffs)
- Shot of my side throwing gags (Our Names)
- To get the other toons names/laff it depends on the boss. In VP: Shots of those on other side's stats either while they finish up, or while we wait for the bucket of bolts to get up top. In CFO: Click on toons in early part of crane battle - while things are still calm. In CJ: Click on toons while waiting for cannon part of fight. In CEO: Click on toons in early part of feeding/squirt (not sure about this as I'm still a CEO noob). Remember - the playground after the fight is also a great place to find that toon who's laff you didn't get. You can always get the name of any toon you missed during the dance (I also note if someone is getting a promotion at this point) Don't let your desire to get everyone's laff put your team in danger.
- I also take a shot of anyone needing less merits/bucks/notices/options than they have when we dance - a sign that they just got a promotion.
- I also try and get a shot of anyone who goes sad, though I usually don't have trouble remembering those events

- If you use the number of merits someone needs to gather suit information, here is the link for ya, Sellbot, Cashbot, Lawbot, Bossbot
So, now you have a harddrive full of pictures (located at C:\Program Files\Disney\Disney Online\Toontown), (anyone running the executable launcher (as opposed to launching from IE) will find their screenshots in Toontown Online, instead of Toontown), what do you do with them.
Go to the
Victory's Page at the CCG Website.
- Record how many loaded, how many danced, and what reward you received. (more on this below)
- Using the elevator shots, fill in names and suits that you can see.
- Using the shots from your side of the fight, note any names you missed, who you fought with, and their laff
- Using your shots from between parts of the battle, note any names still missing and those toons laffs.
- Note if anyone went sad and when
- Submit your report.
This will take you to the report page where you can copy the report you just filed and add it to the daily battle report thread found
HERE. Once you have it there, feel free to make comments on how the loading went, how the run went, add information like promotions or first visits. Some go all out with colors, fancy lettering, detailed reports, etc. Some just state the facts and leave it at that.
Common Question: How do we count those who Alt F4 or Disco in a fight?
Answer: You don't - not in the official count anyway. Sure please include their name, laff, etc and note that they either Alt F4'd or Disco'd, but when figuring out the official run numbers, don't count them. Count the number who danced + the number who went sad = total on run.
Disco: Eight toons load the elevator for a ride to the VP. Half way through the cog round, Billy Joe Bob does the disco. The rest of the toons dance easily. Record ALL names but for Toons Loaded - only put 7 with 7 dancing (7/7). Billy Joe Bob doesn't count in either the win or load numbers.
Alt F4: On this run, Suzy Smartypants has a Key run to go to later in the night, but doesn't have time to get more merits. So she Alt F4's right as the VP heads over the edge. Again record ALL names, you can choose to either count Suzy as a win (8/8) or as not on the run at all (7/7), reporters choice on this one.
Common Question: What if I didn't get all the information?
Answer: If you know how many loaded and how many danced - report it! Often others will say something in the daily thread and fill in details, if nothing else, it helps keep our win/loss numbers somewhat close to what is really happening.
Common Question: I'm new to the CCG, shouldn't I let a more experienced toon write the report?
Answer: NO! Beat them to it. I get tired of hearing the same people report, maybe you will comment on something you figured out and help out another new guy, that while the old hands may know it would never think of mentioning.
Common Question: We didn't win, should I still report my run?
Answer: YES! It's important that all runs be reported, both in the threads and on the website. It helps us get an overall view of what is going right or wrong.
Common Question: What if I don't want to take screenshots?
Answer: I stole this from Craig below - it's an great guide for those among us who don't use screenshots.

When we get on the elevator, I immediately note any HW/RB/BW/BC and their # - I write down first name and a number beside it. Then I note any other first names I can while they are on the elevator, and when we are standing there waiting.
I always say "Hello" to everyone as we are waiting - this leads to a few other people responding, and I fill in their names as we go.
Of course, I write down the four names of the people who's side I'm on, and their exp. #s. Meanwhile, invariably someone has to use TU on the other side, and when they do, you will see the names come up (except in BBHQ, I think).
By the time the cog fight is over in sell, you should have all the names. If not, finish up between rounds, and click on each toon to get their laff.
In CFO/CJ/CEO if your side finishes first, get the laff points while you wait. If you finish second, you'll have to wait until later.
In the CEO, when you are standing waiting to go into feed the cogs, you can jot down all the different suits at that time...
When dancing, I write down the #s after the particular boss we are in: E.g., in Sell 20/30 means he is a CC1 advancing to CC2. You can get the exact info. on suits and #s in the respective boss HQ thread here in TTC. So if in law you see "8900/1780" you know he was a LE11 and now is advancing to BW8. Every level is unique, so the look-up is very easy, until you hit HW/RB/BW/BC, which is why the first you do in the elevator is write down the # of any of those suits.
Finally, if you are really anal about it, if you didn't get exp. for someone, the second you land in the PG, you spin around like a top and try to find the name of the toon you are missing.
I know this sounds like a lot of work, but it is really very easy. The only time I don't do it is if I can't seem to find a piece of paper and pencil...lol...
I personally think this is easier than lots of screen shots that you have to then decipher. To each his/her own!

Common Question: Upon trying to enter a run report, I got "You are not authorized to enter runs!" Exactly why does this occur? This has been a frequent problem for me, and makes it rather difficult to report runs.
Answer: A couple things to try. 1) Go to the members page and search for your toon - check to make sure that the TTC member name you are trying to enter is the same as you originally entered (I'm constantly messing up the spacing in mine

) 2) Make sure you typed your password correctly. If you have forgotten your password go
HERE and click on the I forgot my password button. 3) If you continue to have issues *all the time* and have tried the above, feel free to PM me and I will see what can be done to clear the issue up.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped either by offering encouragement or helping me with questions and answers. YOU ROCK!
