ToonTown Times March 2008 Edition

It's spring in Toontown, and what better way to celebrate than with some good ole spring fishing! Break out your trusty fishing rod, head to your favorite pond, and work on your fishing skills while you earn Laff boosts and jellybeans. But before you get started, don't forget to get good and stocked up on jellybeans by playing some Trolley Games. Wait -- get jellybeans to fish -- to get more jellybeans? That's right! Toon fish like jellybeans best, so they make the best bait! Plus, you can sell the fish you catch to earn even more jellybeans. Every Toon starts with a basic Twig fishing rod. However, seasoned Toons know that the true challenge of fishing can only be met with a stronger fishing rod. There are four fishing rod upgrades available from Clarabelle's Cattlelog -- Bamboo, Wood, Steel, and the top of the line -- Gold.

Didn't you say something about earning a Laff boost? Correct, for every 10 new fish species found, you can earn a trophy. Each trophy gives you a Laff boost of +1. With a total of 70 species to catch and log in your Shticker Book -- you can earn a total Laff boost of +7! So fishing is not only profitable to your bean bank, but also to your Laff meter. It's also a great way to pass the time between keeping the streets of Toontown safe and storming Cog HQs. For more information on fishing, including a list of all 70 fish species, check out the Player's Guide today!

Dear Toontown,
Why can't I find the Estate closet I am looking for in the Cattlelog?
Valerie

Dear Valerie,
Toon Estate closets are very popular items with the addition of 20 and 25 item closets. If you are having trouble locating a closet upgrade in Clarabelle's Cattlelog, there are a few things to remember. To start, only the next available closet upgrade for your Toon will be offered in the Cattlelog. This upgrade will first be offered in the new section. After a week, this closet upgrade will move to the backorder section, and remain there until it is scheduled to appear in the new section again. If you do not purchase a closet upgrade, each time an upgraded one is scheduled to be offered in a new Cattlelog, it will still be your next available upgrade. For example, if you have a basic 10 item closet, your next available upgrade will be the 15 item closet. Therefore, you will not be offered a 20 item closet until you have purchased the 15 item closet. This chart shows when your next available closet upgrade will appear in an issue of Clarabelle's Cattlelog.
