1) Nope, that is just a myth. Trap will show if lure is going to work, but it does not help it. It has not been proven.
2 & 3) Depends on the size of the lure. Using the same lure in combination does not increase its accuracy. One thing, lure gags do average out when used in combination: a small lure will make a larger lure miss a big cog, but a larger lure will increase the accuracy of a small lure when trying to lure a cog.
Hypno-goggles (6) and a Blue Magnet (4): (6 + 4) ÷ 2 gags = 5. This is a lower overall lure than had you used goggles alone, but still better than using a magnet. Similar to using a $10 Bill.
I am still unsure of the values that each lure is given, but for simplification I have given each lure gag a value based on its order of appearance: 1 for $1 Bill, 2 for Red Magent...7 for Presentation.
4) Laff makes not difference when it comes to lure, just depends on how experienced the lure gag is.
