In the years playing, I've had WAY too many toons go, Oops! Sorry! It's obviously NOT a mistake a lot of the time, especially when you see they either just needed a couple hundred cogbucks or were just there finishing a toontask. The fact that you used your wedding cake would only tell me that you were purposely griefing (if I hadn't read this). If it happens again (which, really, it shouldn't), the proper thing is to use lure or say Let's use lure, Sorry I can't, if you don't have lure.
That being said, the toons were really ignorant for laughing when your wedding cake missed. I might have no sympathy, but I'm not a jerk.
