Need help with VP hatch
I read the aiming pie thread and it was great. By following the advice you guys have given I am able to spew a steady stream of pies that hit VP in chest and face with well over 75% accuracy. But the hatch is a different story. I can not hit it at all. Usually this is not a problem since there is a short toon that runs around behind the VP and stuns him. At which time, my steady stream of pies to the face is just what the doctor ordered.
But ..... today it didn't work out.
The other foursome went sad and only two of the survivors had any idea what to do. Neither one of us was small or built with short legs. It was up to me to hit the hatch simply because no one else was even trying (I don't think they even realized that VP needed to be stunned).
I failed miserably at hitting hatch. Up close line drives were pointless. They just hit top edge and never went in. Standing far back didn't work because I was too inconsistent. I could hit the hatch cover great but when the hatch opened it only gummed up gears about half the time. Another toon ran around and tried line drives with same result. It was same size toon as mine and the pies also hit top edge of hatch. After a while we realized that it was a stalemate. There were only two of us left. The VP couldn't defeat us and we couldn't defeat the VP. So we pied each other to full laffs and quit. How very disappointing.
1) How do you throw line drives so that they actually go in?
2) In general what is best distance, angle, and spot for throwing lobs?
3) Why do lobs that hit cover not gum up gears when hatch opens?
4) What, if any, is best way for taller toon to hit hatch?
