Good grammer is an important part of becoming part of the staff. They choose people who are responsible, have good grammer, and don't break rules. I haven't been on in awhile but the last time I was, they had enough people for the job to be done. Everyone has a good chance but not everyone can become staff.
You were half right though, at first Nick let people that he knew from ToonTown be a mod. Now it is all about what I said above.
Oh yeah, everyone kind of does know each other, not just staff. As you start making more posts, people will notice you more, plus many other reasons besides posting. For example, just about everyone knows the staff because they are the staff and have cooler (
