Well all you people out there complaining about fishing, there is a method to the madness.
1. You aren't or have never been a Fat Pig with large legs, big nose, cyan head, sea green body, and perwinkle legs, named "Fisherman Ugly".
2. You are, or have been fishing in the wrong place, the really ultra rare fish, don't like to come out, so you have to become "one with the fish" swim 1 lap around your estate pool for every fish you have ever fished, if you go under, or over, it will cost you an extra 50,000 fish. BUT, if you have never done a lap around your estate lake, you have a .3% more chance of catching every ultra rare in one bucket, than every one else.
3. You are fishing with the wrong rod, How on earth can you expect to catch a Full Moon fish with a "Gold Rod." A "Twig Rod" is to be found much more efficient,
(By the time you realize you can't catch the full moon fish, with the twig rod, you will have fished an average of 0 fish.) (You need at least 37.)
4. You have already caught a "Clown Fish." The "Clown Fish." are evil, and the rest of the fish don't like them, therefore they officially hate you.
5. It is found much for efficent when fishing for <Insert Crazy Super Ultra Rare Fish> To:
Fish a regular bucket normally, then run to the complete oppisite of toontown, (according to your map.) And sell your bucket there, run back and repeat this process 100 times. You will have an official .009% chance of catching your ultra rare, somewhere inbetween where you fished.
(IF you were smart enough to stop there on approximently your 37th trial.)
6. You have been wearing the wrong clothes, certain fish like certain colors, like Full Moon Fish, for some odd reason he likes a peticularly ugly orange, and pink combination, the Concord likes black, and the Devil Ray doesn't like any color, but he will on occasion "not like" your shirt, jump up and try to bite you, this is when "you get really lucky."
7. You have defeated a cog, at one point or another. For some extremely odd reason, the fish and the cogs formed some weird alliance a long long time ago, "
Some say the fish, are spys, and that is why we have to catch them. So just think of fishing, as "Rounding up the evil ones." "Or defeating the cogs." Isn't that what you do everyday in toontown?)
8. You are fishing too much, if you have happened to fish more than 5 buckets every month, the fish somehow know you are trying to catch them, and for some mean reason deep inside them, they will refuse to cooperate with you, or anyone.
9. You have caught too many fish species, the fish for some adnormal reason, hate any fisherman that has an odd OR even number total fish species.
10. You have too many jellybeans, the fish are not peticularly greedy, well expet the fact of, "Star Fish, Balloon Fish, Cat Fish, ect..." Remember the clown fish are evil.
Anyways the amount of jellybeans you have plays a very important role in fishing, if you happen to have more than "100" But less than "100" jellybeans your chances at catching anything new is lowered by 2%. BUT, if you happen to have "0" jellybeans your chances are set to infinity, but are not guarenteed. And they are most certainly not 1% or higher.
11. You happen to be a toon, you see, the fish don't like toons, well they sometimes like purple toons, and on occasion yellow, but excluding them, just being a toon, your chances of catching ultra rares are lowered by <Insert a random high % here>
12. You are wearing white gloves, The fish hate the color white, "Sorry Paula Behr but yes, this includes you." So I advise you go visit Gus Gooseburger and plead for his red gloves. (you might have a better chance at the devil ray also.)
13. You happen to be fishing at the wrong time. The ultra rare fish have a certain second everyday they like to come out, occasionly they might come out more than once, but IF you can somehow set up a toon on every dock in toontown, in every district, catsing at every second. You have a 70% of catching 1 ultra rare.
14. You have hurt the fish. Every time you have caught a fish, you have kidnapped it, and sold it for your own gain. You must be a horrible person, no wonder the fish don't like you.
15. You are reading this thread. And believing it? (that's even worse.)
(Note these reasons DON'T apply to anyone who has ever maxed fishing, this is just merely for those "less gifted." :P.)
