I"m glad you worked it out.
For my sons I require the parent password. My youngest has two adult SFs who help him through harder tasks and who I trust. He also isn't allowed to play when we're still asleep or not here. That way I can make sure he's not bothering them to pieces. I had to make that a rule when I found out that he'd been logging on in the mornings and trying to convince them to take him into the DA's office. LOL
I have told him after he's better able to use his eMail and the internet then he may have 3 SF's his own age. He knows one kids at school who plays and the other two he will probably find here.
My older son had the same deal, but his SF's left his list when I waited two months before renewing the account (didn't have the money during the holidays). I have one friend who is going to SF him to help him out, and I told him he's still limited to the 3 SF's until he turns 13 this summer. Then we'll discuss it again.
This allows them room to friend clan members and toons to help them (it's useful to be able to explain what they're training and how many cogs they need and all) but at the same time I don't want them to turn the game into a giant chat fest.
