Edit: Please don't take the bolded part seriously, it's just my theory about what Toons experience when we log out or disconnect.
Personally,
I'd like to know how mebot got a report about something that happened
tomorrow. Care to clue me in on your little secret?
Seeing as how I had yet to receive an assignment from anyone, I decided to take a visit to Sellbot HQ to relieve some boredom.
Nov. 29, 2007
I visited Sellbot HQ during a scheduled evening CCG VP run. Luckily it was a quiet district, so no VP's fell on my head while I joined a rather large group of Toons anywhere from 25 laff to 122. (I wonder how many laff Toons lose from having a VP dropped on their heads?)
Just as I went in the door to the Sellbot Lobby, the fabric of space and time tore and threw me out of this world. (That happens a lot to me these days. Most people just assume I logged out.) When I was finally thrown back into this dimension, it was several minutes in the future and I'd missed the last of the CCG runners.
I was feeling courageous, (or perhaps stupid) so I went in without anyone else, against my better judgment. It turned out that every last VP in the district that day was engaged in a battle with CCG Toons. That was one BIG horde of Toons.
I took a quick peek in the VP's office, found he wasn't there, and decided to go where no Toon had gone before: The VP's
office. Turns out there isn't really anything of interest there. Just lots of sales receipts and weird looking charts. I think there was a picture of his grandmother, but I couldn't be sure.
Being a Toon, I quickly picked out the only bit of color in the entire room: A small piece of paper with a picture that's familiar to Toons everywhere. The map in the Schticker book. It was torn and had lots of red spots all over it, but it was a part of the ToonTown map all the same.
What Cogs are doing with torn up, red-spotted bits of maps of ToonTown is beyond me. I still. . . "borrowed". . . most of the papers in the VP's desk while I was there though. They look dull and boring to me, but maybe we can hold them for ransom so the VP will give us a few of the more important Toon Citizens back.
Dream Dancer, signing out.
