Hmm. Tough question.

I think sound can be useful when you are all using it and there is more than one cog. Of course, sound isn't very powerful so using four bike horns on four Hollys won't really make a mark. It attacks more than one cog at once, which is pretty useful, since no other gag track does that except the level 7 gags.

Lure is reeeeaally useful, let's say, in a VP. If there are lower-laffers there then if you use sound then it might not kill all the cogs and may result in going green. But if someone has lure then you can use the "Lure left, Kill Right" strategy which I find very useful since my toon is 68 laff. That way, the cogs won't attack unless they've been attacked and the gag(s) didn't kill them. Also, if you attack a lured cog, you'll get bonus damage.

So IMO, I think lure is very useful.
