A couple of tips that might help someone -
Tab Key - will give you an overhead view of the hole. Helps if the ball is in an odd spot and you can't see very well.
Up Arrow - this will line you up with the hole. Hit Up and your toon will be lined up for a straight shot. Obviously if there are zigs and zags, this won't work.
Be very careful about adjusting when you are about to putt the ball in - even the slightest adjustment can cause you to miss. I never, or very, very, rarely move postion once I'm near the hole, the ball seems to be lined up for you. I might tap the arrow key just to be sure.
Playing Solo - playing solo won't contribute to your multiplayer courses completed total or to wins on easy/medium/hard but it will contribute to your Courses Completed, birdies, pars, hole in ones and eagles.
