I wouldn't worry about continuing to garden.
If Disney throws 9 bean flowers at us, it will take a while for us to figure out the recipes. Personally, I will get my 40 (90 shovel to go!) and let it ride. If Disney announces, then I'll max shovel while I wait for some other toon to figure out the combo's and then continue gardening on 9's, 10's or whatever. I know someone will post the combo's here, and I don't mind looking at spoilers!
