As long as it's not an automatic expectation, so that no one is called a griefer and / or bad sport as was happening on test during the tie era, I don't have a problem with it.
If it's clearly communicated and agreed on (which seems to me only possible with sfs, in spite of anyone's best intentions), I don't have a problem with it.
My problem is, as always, ONLY with those who think everyone else should do things their way or they are clearly griefing. Anyone who golfs, races, whatever with the expectation of trading should be running with sfs who are in agreement, IMO.
I will consciously let my children win sometimes, and if a friend needs one more something for a trophy and asks first I probably would. But normally I am just having fun and not paying attention to the score. I will get the trophies when I get them and it's really no big whoop. So I am called a bad sport by some. Oh well.
I don't think it's comparable to boss battles. If you want to do it all on your own, go for it, don't let anyone else tell you what to do!
PS. I thought the ties on test were the best thing ever until the name calling started. I can't imagine how bad that would be on open!
