Im just saying that i dont think a 6 yr old should play toontown. They should first learn how to read atleast which i think most kids should learn when they are 7 1/2.

My 5 year old is already reading almost all basic words and even harder ones.

your friend should wait or otherwise get a tuter because (my geuss... and no offence) they are still learning the ABC's. so tuter them or tell them to wait for a while.

My son knew his ABC's by age 3. He's been wanting to play TT since he knew the character's names (Mickey, Minnie etc).

This game in the few months he's played have helped him greatly in many areas.

Some of them are....
  • team work
  • patience
  • computer skills
  • think before you act (don't just hit a gag button, look what everyone else chooses)
  • problem solving (if they choose lure, don't use sound etc)
  • reading

As for speed chat, he knows he's not allowed to use it, period with out my help (we had a problem with him accidentally doing a "you stink" at the wrong moment, lol). Hubby's computer is next to mine which is what he plays on. When he is told something and a reply is needed to be respectful back I help him pick the right one.

He also is banned from buildings with out me there. Just to many scenarios can arise with him doing something by accident and getting "stunk" to death.

I don't see a problem with younger ages playing... as long as their game time is properly monitored by an adult.
