I was able to fix Toontown by uninstalling it and downloading a new copy. Here are the instructions:

To completely uninstall Toontown from your computer, please follow all
of the instructions below:
A. To remove the Toontown Game Client, please do the following:
1. Open the Mac Finder.
2. Select your Home Directory -> Library Folder -> Application Support
folder
3. Select the WDIG folder and drag to your Trash.
B. To remove the Toontown Application, please do the following:
1. Open the Mac Finder.
2. Next, select the Macintosh HD -> Applications
3. Drag the Toontown Application to your Trash.
C. To remove the Toontown plug-in, please do the following:
1. Open the Mac Finder.
2. Next, select Macintosh HD -> Library -> Internet Plug-ins
3. Drag the ToontownBundleManager.plugin to the Trash
This will not affect your account or Toons, as that information is
stored on our servers.
To Reinstall the game:
- Start by going to
http://www.toontown.com
- Click on the 'Play' button
- Login with your user name and password
This will start the plug-in download
