When you updated, what did you update? IE 7? To what? IE 8?
Or did you just install some updates from the Windows Update site?
I know Microsoft released some security updates on Tuesday.
Or are you even saying you had IE 6 while having these problems then upgraded to IE 7 and now the problems are gone? lol
Will be difficult not to switch to IE 7. Hard to avoid it. Microsoft sooner or later will force you to.

OK, Good question. I had already updated to IE 7. I hadn't updated IE 7 yet. When my hubby told me that his IT guy told the company to put off updating to IE 7 right now because of reported problems, I thought maybe I could see if there was an update. Sure enuff, when I went to Windows Update and asked for the download, it said... OOOH! We have an important IE 7 update for you! Once I went through all this, I had a great night of boss connectivity.
Sooooo.... Stick with IE 6 for now while you can, and when Microsoft
makes you update (as you so aptly pointed out) perhaps they will have even more bugs worked out of it. The report as of today is to avoid IE 7 for now.
And of course, this is all just my suggestion and my report of what worked for me... I am not an IT guy (gal), so all I can report on in what I've heard and what I've tried.
Hubby's company's IT guy did recommend that no one update to IE 7 for now... and this is a HUGE international company. Do what you want with that bit of info. (I'm just trying to help! Sheesh!)
