He isnt being mean, he is explaining what the word means. Listen to him, and stop whining. Just because you got away with the name for a period of time does not make it legal. I think that name is inappropriate too.
As far as the other name...I have seen a plain "Easter Bunny." I personally dont see anything wrong with that name, being it is a fable (even though it is linked in common practice to a religious holiday.) They have HO HO HO phrases (linked to Christmas) so I dont see the problem.
