THe News forum is set so that only Full Members and higher can post new threads there.
That was done to cut back on inappropriate threads in the News.
Full Members are users who have been members here for a long time, and who have never been Grounded or Banned.
The cut-off date for most Ful Members was 14-April-2004.
EDIT: I checked into Buster bunny's problem, and it seems to have nothing to do with this.
Nevermind.
